Starcomm Limited is the UK's oldest privately owned company. It was formed in August 1993 shortly after the deregulation of the telecommunications market in the UK. It is one of the oldest surviving telecommunications companies and was an early exponent of VOIP which it helped Jeff Pulver and his freeworlddialup.com idea promote and develop as early as 1994.
In 1995 Starcomm launched the Ibex FactsBack system into the UK and then added to that a Fax Broadcast Marketing system.
In 2000 following the deregulation of Telecommunications in the UK Starcomm became the 9th company in the UK to be awarded a International Simple Voice Resale License, and a Annex II License.
In those pre-internet days Starcomm was working to develop premium rate fax-on-demand service for Dennis Publishing, VNU, EMAP, VW/Audi, Charles Stanley, CitiBank, JP Morgan, Thorn/EMI Lighting, Braemar Seascope Plc, Central Motor Auctions, Chartered Trust, Department of Environment's Flood Warning Fax System etc.
Today we offer a complete range of UK DID numbers allowing our VOIP customers to have a UK telephone number connecting to their softphone for Mobile and Fixed Line toll by-pass.
We also continue to offer Premium Rate and non- Geographic numbers to companies and private individuals in the UK Market
